Portrait of Sharon Blaney, LAc

Acupuncture

Sharon Blaney, LAc

Licensed Acupuncturist. Pain, injury, performance.

Sharon practices acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Acupuncture and a Chinese Herbal Medicine Certificate from Bastyr University in Seattle, and completed an international Traditional Chinese Medicine program with a specialization in traumatology at ChengDu University of TCM in ChengDu, China.

Before her clinical career, Sharon played rugby for the U.S. women's national team. That background shaped her clinical focus — pain management, injury rehabilitation, and the recovery and performance side of athletics — and the way she works with patients: collaboratively, with the patient's specific goals on the table from the first visit.

Beyond acupuncture, Sharon has further training in Chinese herbal medicine, kinesio taping, esoteric acupuncture, and craniosacral therapy.

Outside the clinic, Sharon hikes and spends time with her partner and her two dogs, Billie and Gus.
