About
Movement, not just adjustments.
Move Better was founded in 2016 by Dr. Q and Dr. Whitney, in a garage, on the bet that chronic pain isn't a pain problem at all — it's a movement problem. Almost ten years later, we're two clinics, eight people, and one stubborn idea: figure out what your body forgot how to do, and teach it back.
Most chiropractic visits are 15 minutes with someone you barely meet, ending in an adjustment that wears off by the next day. We don't do that. First visits are two hours. Every visit after that is one-on-one with the same doctor. The work is movement-based — how you breathe, how you brace, how you move from your hips — because that's where chronic pain almost always actually lives.
We built our care around three foundational patterns we call the Movement Paradigm: Breath, Brace, Hinge. Almost every chronic pain we see traces back to one of those three being broken. Find the broken one, retrain it, and the pain pattern tends to go with it.
Our approach is built for the person who has tried everything. Physical therapy that didn't stick. Adjustments that wore off. Exercises that made it worse. We don't tell you the last clinic got it wrong — we look at how you actually move and tell you, in one visit, whether this is the kind of problem we can solve. If it isn't, we'll tell you who can.
Both clinics — Portland and Vancouver — run the same way. The team trains to the same movement standards, runs the same assessment, and writes the same kind of clear, six-visit care plan with a re-exam at the end. No vague "see how you feel" schedules. You'll know where you are at every step.
Two clinics. Same standard of care.

Find out in one visit.
The two-hour first visit is the test. If movement-based medicine is the answer for you, you'll know by the end of session one.
